Agile Foundation Certification

Foundation level certification, based on a simple multiple choice exam, demonstrates that someone understands the basics and can apply the terminology correctly. Foundation certification does not require any practical experience.

What is Agile Foundation Level Certification?
Agile Foundation Certification began in the autumn of 2007 and is open to anyone working with Agile methods. It is based on a multiple choice exam which tests knowledge of Agile terms and theories.

Becoming certified sets you apart from others as it demonstrates your knowledge, experience and effectiveness using Agile frameworks. The Agile Foundation examination is of benefit to:

  • Anyone involved in an Agile project
  • People who are moving towards an Agile approach for their projects and who have a basic understanding of the different Agile frameworks
  • People who are considering becoming Agile Project Leader Practitioners who wish to test their knowledge in advance of the Practitioner examination

The Agile Foundation examination is:

  • One hour
  • Multiple choice
  • Closed book
  • 60 questions, of which at least 42 must be answered correctly in order for the candidate to be awarded a pass
