This level is aiming to measure whether a candidate would be able to act as an informed member of a team using DSDM Atern within a project environment. To this end they need to show they understand the principles and terminology of the framework.

The DSDM Foundation certificate is managed by the APM Group (APMG), the specialist accreditation and certification organisation.  The examination is a closed book, multiple choice paper consisting of 60 questions.  Candidates are given 1 hour to complete the paper and need to answer 30 questions correctly to be awarded a certificate.

The examination is usually taken at the end of an accredited training course but candidates can also take it at one of APMG’s open exam centres or on one of the certification days run by the Consortium.
