It is an indisputable fact that many organisations now have PRINCE2 as their method of choice for project management. UK Government projects make PRINCE2 a requirement for their contractors. Many local authorities have adopted PRINCE2 as their project management standard. Commercial organisations are subscribing to the PRINCE2 ethos and paying for their people to be qualified. However, many organisations are also using or considering DSDM. There seem to be two types of organisation "out there" - the ones who have been using DSDM over the last decade and are now looking for a bit more formality and control; and those who have used PRINCE2 and are now desperate for more agility. Are DSDM and PRINCE2 mutually exclusive?
