DSDM Contract

Contract to Use with DSDM
DSDM represents a number of challenges from a contract perspective. This outline contract has been specifically designed to suit the use of DSDM and was drafted by Richard Stephens of Masons and working parties from the DSDM Consortium, consisting of representatives of full member organisations (licesned resellers and end users). The aim is to tackle head on the commercial and contractual issues that arise when using DSDM and to suggest the sorts of questions that need to be covered in a contract and the sorts of answers those questions could receive.

This contract is not offered as a precedent for every contract involving DSDM. This would be impossible, as there are many different ways of carrying out a project, and the detail would have to change in individual cases. However, it is offered as a model containing the sorts of things the parties would want to consider and perhaps incorporate, with appropriate changes in their own contracts.

The DSDM outline contract is currently available to download. Before reading the contract please refer to the license for use of the contract and the commentary which discusses the issues in the outline contract.
